KUALA LUMPUR, 20 February 2020 - Ten members from University of Malaya Power and Energy System (UMPES) Research Group visited the University of Malaya High Voltage Laboratory (UMHVL) at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya on 20th February 2020. The visit was part of their educational activities.
During the visit, the Head of UMHVL and the Secretary of IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) Malaysia Chapter, Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Hazlee Azil Illias introduced various high voltage research facilities available in the laboratory and briefed the visitors on the research activities carried out in the laboratory. Dr. Hazlee also took the opportunity to promote IEEE DEIS Malaysia Chapter and Malaysian High Voltage Network (MyHVnet) to the visitors.
