Welcome to the Universiti Malaya High Voltage Laboratory (UMHVL) website. We are pleased that you have taken your time to visit our website and we believe that you will find interesting information.

This website provides an introduction of UMHVL, members of UMHVL, lists of publication to date and ongoing projects in the lab. It also provides information on the equipment that are currently available in the lab and services that we are offering.

The Universiti Malaya High Voltage Laboratory was first established in November 2011. However, the lab is only fully operational since February 2014 after the main equipment of the lab has been successfully commissioned.

Currently, UMHVL involves actively in high voltage engineering related activities. These include research, publication, teaching and learning, consultation, testing services, and organising workshops, seminars, talks and training in high voltage related field.

Since its inception, UMHVL has published more than 70 ISI-indexed journal papers and 50 refereed conference papers related to high voltage engineering field, has secured research grants and funding of more than RM 4 million (~USD 1 million) from various sources and more than 20 research students have successfully graduated.

We are continuously working hard towards achieving higher goals and we aim to be recognised by local and international key players in high voltage engineering field.
