KUALA LUMPUR, 28 September 2017 - The University of Malaya High Voltage Research Group (UMHVRG), Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Malaya has successfully organised a "Half-Day Workshop on Generation of High AC, DC and Impulse Voltages" on 28th September 2017 in the University of Malaya High Voltage Laboratory (UMHVL). The workshop was also supported by IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) Malaysia Chapter and Malaysian High Voltage Network (MyHVnet). The Facilitator of the workshop was Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Hazlee Azil Illias from UMHVRG. The workshop was attended by 2 academic staffs and 21 students from private academic institutions in Malaysia.
The workshop began with a brief introduction on the workshop, followed by short introduction to UMHVL, lecture on generation of high AC, DC and impulse voltages and finally hands-on session on generation of high voltage in the lab.
